The boys were SO excited when I brought some doughnuts back at 1am…turns out 3 of my friends from 3 completely seperate stages of my life all work at voodoo and so after the show in Portland we all walked a short 5 blocks into a hot pink blue purple green blue orange yellow sprinkley sugary wonderland and created some crazy frankenstien esque treats for my little musical song birds.
i wish i felt a little more up to par in my bod…i think i ate some shifty thai food last night cause my stomach is real pissed at me for something. maybe i’ll go find some sushi after the show tonight so i can wake up feeling like ten billion dollars tomorrow.
traveling with landon is so inspiring. he’s like a walking encyclopedia of songs——he’s got hundreds of them. he just breathes them. it’s even fun to watch my guys play with him and watch all of them just connect…i mean…they’ve never had a practice. not once. and they’ve nailed every night.
last night we played in a giant basketball gymnasium…tonight we’re playing an extra dark club in a basement in seattle.
i like this life. a lot.

After hours and days of travel I think Kyle and I have finally caught up sleep wise and are ready to conquor the northwest. Yes. Next stop mckminnville collage for a free show! Gonna try to get some soundbites to give to y’all as well.

did i get so busy??
the schedule, the shows, the sessions, the shows, the writes, the blogging….i know…i’ve been slacking…but really. it’s been nutty.
played a fun show the other night duo style opening for jason reeves (who turns out to be a big fan! who knew??) which was so great. it’s so fun to play just kyle and i sometimes. it’s a totally different head space. plus we’re gearing up for a whole MONTH of duo shows SO i mean, obvi we have to get our game straight!
we went out on a limb tuesday and played a NEW song that we wrote that day which we HARLY ever do…so fun…wanna do that ALL the time!
anyway…here it is…just a quick demo tape, but ya’ll don’t mind that right?
